Welcome to J-Hoppers Takayama.

We opened J-Hoppers Takayama in May 2009. A former ryokan was remodeled to a Japanese style hostel equipped with large, timber bunk beds.
We are the 5th J-Hoppers Hostel, located a 3 minute walk from JR Takayama station, good access to Shirakawago or Gero hot spring, activities like Ski resort or hiking neaby.
The building used to be a Japanese-style ryokan and many of the guest rooms are traditional tatami rooms. There are various type of common rooms in the hostel such as TV room, Japanse style living room and hideout-dining room.
